World Changers Club FAQ

How Do I Reserve? Seats are limited. We will be reaching out in order of who is interested! If you’d like to get on the early access list, please head to www.worldchangersclub.us. Session blocks will be opened in early August. Sessions will be available for individuals, homeschoolers, schools, scouts, and libraries.

What is the WCC? A four week STEAM experience designed to inspire creative thinking and problem solving. Each session is packed with a featured book, creativity, problem solving, and a mission of the week. Each week there is a new 45 minute mission to embark on!

Who is  the WCC for? K-5, Individuals, Schools, Homeschoolers, Libraries, or Scouts!

What is a ‘mission’?
A mission is our weekly actionable challenge to explore what we have learned through problem solving skills. Each week’s challenge is then broken down into three steps:

1.     Identify The Problem: Why does it matter?
2.     Brainstorm & Decide: How can we help?
3.     Solve & Share: What are we going to do about it?

What are the missions?
  1. Week #1: Mission, Kindness
  2. Week #2: Mission, Future You
  3. Week #3: Mission, Entrepreneur
  4. Week #4: Mission, Be The Change

How will problems be solved?
World Changers will get to pick a job each week: Engineer, Designer, or Scientist and solve the problem in their own way:
  • Use paper and your favorite artist medium to draw or paint a solution
  • Use paper and blue pencils and crayons to create a blueprint of a solution
  • Use found objects from outside to assemble a solution
  • Use found objects from your recycling bin to create a solution
  • Use Legos, Kinex, or any other type of building-block to build your solution!
  • Use whatever you like to write with to write about your solution!

What is the Inventor’s Gallery?
The Inventor’s Gallery is a digital display that will house the ideas, inventions and creations from our World Changers. The gallery will showcase the work of the World Changers so that it can be shared with family and friends. Each invention photo will be displayed in a Google Slideshow for all to see.

Learning Outcomes:
The WCC  is all about learning how to think! By the end of four sessions, World Changers will be able to critically think and express a plan of action!

World Changers will learn:
  • Critical Thinking
  • Logic
  • Sound Action Plans
  • How to take a problem from beginning to end

Schedule:
  • Sessions are 45 minutes, including Q&A, then kids will be allowed to independently begin their work!
  • There is really no set time limit as to how long a World Changer can work on a project. While there is no time limit to how long to work on a project, we recommend that World Changers spend at least a couple of hours making your final solution to change the world!
